Last Call for Cub Scout STEM Quest!

We’re only one day away from the 2016 Cub Scout STEM Quest! We have nearly 200 kids registered and still have room for more to join us! We have a lot of exciting stations that will be set up including Bricks 4 Kidz, the Greensboro Police Department, Emerging Technologies, the Greensboro Gem and Mineral Club, catapults, rockets, slime, and micrometeorites! We also have several stations that will be set up to help your Scouts complete requirements for several Cub Scout Adventures like Adventures in Coins, Code of the Wolf, Earth Rocks, Forensics, Motor Away, and Super Science. Participants will receive a passport as they enter the stadium. As they travel to each Adventure station and complete requirements, they will get their passport stamped so they can show their Den Leader the work they have done.

New this year is a Cub Scout STEM Quest t-shirt which will feature the Old North State Council STEM logo on the back. The shirts will sell for $12 for small through XL and $14 for 2X and 3X sizes. Cash, check, or credit card will be accepted.

The event will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 11 and will continue until 12:00 pm. Participants can arrive anytime during the event but a drawing will be held by 11:00 am for a free week of camp for a registered Cub Scout (or one willing to become registered)! Make sure your Scout gets his ticket for the drawing at the check-in table!

The event will be held in Jamieson Stadium at Grimsley High School in Greensboro. Please enter using the lower gate near the high school where the Cub Scout STEM Quest banner will be on display. To register for the event, visit www.onscstem.wordpress.com and click on “Cub Scout STEM Quest” at the top. Only the kids need to register and there is no charge to attend!

Cub Scouts, siblings, and young men who want to join Cub Scouts are invited! Bring the family and have a great time! We hope to see you there!
