Over 200 young boys and girls enjoyed an awesome day at Cub Scout STEM Quest today! The kids enjoyed making slime, shooting marshmallows from catapults, Legos, forensic science, film canister rockets, and much much more! We had some exciting demonstrations from businesses and organizations like Emerging Technologies, Bricks 4 Kidz, and the Greensboro Gem and Mineral Club.
All together, it was a great day for STEM! Scouts, and all kids, need every opportunity they can get to explore science, technology, engineering, and math in a way that demonstrates how much fun it can be to ask “what if?” and discover something new! STEM is not just about science, technology, engineering, and math but is also about learning that it’s okay to ask questions and how to think critically about the world around us. Critical thinking is a necessity as our kids grow into adults and STEM experiences are answering the call!
Thank you to everyone who made Cub Scout STEM Quest a great success this year! Check out a short video from WFMY News 2 from today.
