Wow! These young men and women are having a blast! So far, they have visited a tiny house, designed video games at High Point University, practiced 3-D scanning and printing, learned blacksmithing, practiced flying drones, visited a water treatment plant and a nuclear reactor, drilled into bones, and built model tiny houses of their own. It’s been very busy for them and they have smiled and laughed all the way! Check out a few pictures from the week so far!
Today we have more computer programming, blacksmithing, shooting sports, a tour of our Model Forest by a certified forester, a trip to UNC-Greensboro’s Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, and a trip to a solar power facility. Oh yeah…tonight is also college night! We have representatives coming from Alamance Community College, Rockingham Community College, High Point University, UNC-Greensboro, Guilford Technical Community College, and N.C. State University who will be here to not only provide information about their programs, but they will also participate in panel discussions about student life, admissions, and what college-level courses are really like. We’ll take pictures and post another update soon!
