There’s no better way to ring in the new year and celebrate all of this winter weather than to get excited about STEM this summer! STEM X was launched in the summer of 2016 as a new approach to bringing young men and women to summer camp so they could experience STEM in a whole new way! Participants not only immersed themselves in STEM experiments and projects, they also saw STEM in the real world as they visited a nuclear power plant, designed video game apps at High Point University, explored a Tiny Home, and much more! To wrap it up, the participants visited with representatives from colleges and universities all over North Carolina to learn about the programs they offer. Starting in 2017, there will be year-round opportunities for participants to continue exploring STEM in the Career Exploring program!

In 2017, STEM X will take place from July 30 to August 4 at Cherokee Scout Reservation in Yanceyville, NC. We are offering more than twice the number of programs than were available in 2016. The program is open to any young man or women who is at least a 9th grader (as of fall, 2017) up to their 21st birthday. Full details about registration and all of the exciting program tracks available can be found at www.bsastemx.org. Registration will begin on Monday, January 16th at 8:00 PM. Participants will register by paying a $200 deposit and confirming the program track they want to experience. Those who register by March 15th will receive a $50 discount making their total fee $425. The fee includes everything in the program, food, transportation to and from the off-site locations, t-shirts, and lodging for the week.

Registration will be completed online and the registration link will be available at STEM X Fees & Registration when registration opens on January 16th. Limited scholarships will be available for those who demonstrate financial hardship.

Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity to experience science, technology, engineering, and math in an amazing new way!
