Cub Scout STEM Quest

Cub Scout STEM Quest is an event held each May that gets elementary-aged kids excited about STEM! The first event was held on May 16, 2015 at Grimsley High School in Jamieson Stadium. Over 200 Cub Scouts and siblings participated in activities including making slime, Legos, finding micrometeorites, film canister rockets, static electricity-powered cars, and watching exhibits like super absorbents from Emerging Technologies and the bomb squad robot from the Greensboro Police Department!

The 2nd Cub Scout STEM Quest was held on June 11, 2016. The event was held in Jamieson Stadium at Grimsley High School, just down the road from the Old North State Council office. The event focused on the fun STEM-related requirements of the new Cub Scout adventures program! Not only did the Scouts have a blast, they also completed adventures that will help them advance through their Cub Scout rank!

The 3rd Cub Scout STEM Quest has been postponed to fall, 2017. More details will be available here as they become available.
